Bio Medical DonationThe Project Lead The Way Bio Medical program at Four Rivers Career Center recently accepted a $25,000 grant from the Arconic Foundation.

The grant money will be used to help furnish the Bio Medical lab and help the program continue to grow in the upcoming years.

With a location in Washington, Arconic Manufacturing Company develops and manufacture high performance, engineered products and solutions for the aerospace, industrial gas turbine, commercial transportation and oil and gas markets.

Representatives from Arconic visited FRCC to present the check.

Bio Medical instructor Madison Darnell spoke to Arconic representatives about the program and what students have been working on. FRCC Director Andy Robinson also spoke to the group about the Bio Medical program and other areas of the Career Center.

Working with the same tools used by professionals in hospitals and labs, Bio Medical students engage in compelling, hands-on activities and work together to find solutions to problems.
