Washington West Student Makes DonationJohn Cribbs, a second-grade student at Washington West Elementary, recently made a donation of money that he earned to Washington West Elementary to help students who were behind on their lunch money.

During the summer, John set up a lemonade stand and with the help from his mother, made and sold the lemonade to help raise the money.

Overall, John raised $108.63 from the lemonade stand. That total was matched by an anonymous donor of $108.73, bringing the total to $217.36, which he presented to Washington West.

“I wanted to help some of the other students,” John said. “So me and my mom thought of the lemonade stand.”

John is the son of Jesse and Megan Cribbs.
