WHS Wrestlers Allison Meyer, Casey Olszowka Named KLPW, Missourian Athletes of the Week
Washington High School wrestlers Allison Meyer and Casey Olszowka have been named the KLPW Radio Athletes of the Week. Olszowka also was named the Washington Missourian Athlete of the Week.
Meyer, a senior, currently owns an 18-0 record at 117 pounds for the Lady Jays with all of her wins by pin or technical fall. She’s given up only two points all season.
Meyer is a two-time district champion and a two-time state qualifier.
Olszowka, a freshman, currently owns a 14-4 record at 138 pounds for the Blue Jays.
Olszowka posted perfect 5-0 records at both the Washington Duals and the Don Fuhrmann Duals at Hillsboro High School. He has won 10 straight matches by at least a major decision and is unbeaten since dropping to 138 pounds.
