Dine to DARE is a milkshake challenge that takes place Thursday, May 9, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Main Street Creamery in Washington, 110 West Main Street.

School Resource officer Mindy Schmelz from the Washington Police Department and Deputy James O’Fallon from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department will battle to see whose milkshake creation will put more smiles on faces.

Schmelz’s milkshake is the Super Cotton Candy Power. O’Fallon’s milkshake is Gooey Chocolate Overload.

Whoever sells the most milkshakes will be declared the winner.

All proceeds benefit the local DARE Programs. DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) is an education program that seeks to prevent the use of controlled drugs, membership in gangs, and violent behavior.
