Curriculum for the Elementary Challenge Program is sequential, mindfully connected and expressed throughout the system. Options provided by the program have links to general curriculum, as well as reaching through and beyond the regular curricular scope. Options span grade levels, disciplines and the levels and kinds of intelligences.
The curriculum is constructed around themes that are appropriate for gifted learners and encourages productive thinking. The content relates to the theme, is multi-disciplinary, contains necessary information and is consistent with the needs, interests and abilities of gifted students. The outgrowth is the goal by which the gifted student demonstrates the knowledge (content) and skills (processes) that have been consolidated into the learning environment.
