Struttmann FRCC Program CoordinatorAnn Struttmann is the new Programs Coordinator at Four Rivers Career Center. She replaces Sherri Schaefer, who retired in November.

Struttmann previously worked for Franklin County Government as the purchasing agent.

“I’m really excited about this opportunity,” Struttmann said. “Getting the chance to work for the Washington School District and helping the students at Four Rivers Career Center with their education and build their future is something I’m really looking forward to. I want to make a difference in students’ education.”

Struttmann will handle the financial aspect of all the programs at FRCC, along with grant funding, requisitions, and financial aid for practical nursing.

“Fundamentally, Ann is our Chief Financial Officer. She’s also in charge of coordinating all of the adult programs like LPN (Nursing), and working with those students,” said Andy Robinson, Four Rivers Career Center Director. “She’s extremely intelligent and very intuitive. She sees the big picture. I think she’ll be able to provide some innovative ideas for the next generation of Four Rivers students."

A Washington High School graduate, Struttmann started at the Career Center in late October and has hit the ground running.

“In the month that Ann has been at Four Rivers, she’s learning the magnitude of all the finance involved. She’s done a fantastic job of learning and understanding how Four Rivers operates and all of the different programs,” Robinson said.

“Everyone here has been very welcoming, very nice. I’m excited to be part of the team. Andy is great. He’s a creative person and very student-oriented,” Struttmann said.

“Ann’s main goal is to not only to do a good job with the budget and things like that, but more importantly, it’s connecting the dollars to students. She wants to know why the money is being spent,” Robinson said. “She wants to build relationships with students and be one more person in our building to be a positive influence and role model. She brings energy and excitement to school. She’s already started a Friday morning dance party, just to welcome students to Four Rivers on a Friday. She wants to have fun and get to know the students.”

Ann lives in Washington and has four children; John (15), Natalie (11), Mila (7) and Ben (4).
