Summer Construction Projects at Washington Middle School, Four Rivers Career Center

Washington Middle School renovation and addition, along with a Four Rivers Career Center nurse simulation lab renovation are among construction projects being worked on this summer in the School District of Washington.

Bond Architects is handling the design and K & S Associates, Inc. is doing the construction work.

The addition at the middle school will be a new library and media center, along with a help desk. The old library is being renovated into a science laboratory and a counselor’s suite.

Other work being done at the middle school is a vestibule entry similar to what was done at the other buildings in the district last summer.

The simulation lab at Four Rivers Career Center is designed to provide immersive learning experiences for students. The lab will consist of a realistic looking clinical sim lab room along with manikins and equipment, allowing students to practice and develop clinical expertise without any risk of patient harm.

The science laboratory, counselor’s suite, and vestibule entry at Washington Middle School, along with the simulation lab at Four Rivers Career Center, are expected to be completed by the start of the 2021-22 school year. The new library addition at the middle school has a target completion date of January 2022.
