Washington High School football player Hanon Jarvis is the KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week. Washington High School softball player Emily Bruckerhoff is the Washington Missourian Athlete of the Week. Hanon Jarvis Jarvis, a junior running back and linebacker, carried the ball 10 times for 182 yards and scored three touchdowns in helping the Blue Jays to a 42-38 victory at Pacific High School on Friday, September 3. The three touchdowns for Jarvis came on runs of 34, 58 and 15 yards. Defensively, Jarvis made three tackles in the game. She has a batting average of .300 with two home runs, six RBIs and a .600 slugging percentage. "Emily has taken on a new position this year and has taken it in full stride," said WHS Softball Coach Philip King. "She is a leader in practice and games with how she approaches everything."
