The Washington High School 50th Year Reunion Committee recently presented WINGS with a check for $3,000.
The WHS Class of 1970, 1971 and 1972 recently combined their 50th year reunion and each donated $1,000 to WINGS, making the total donation at $3,000.
The WINGS Educational Foundation promotes educational excellence within the School District of Washington by providing teacher grants, student scholarships for continued education, state-of-the-art equipment and recognition of outstanding faculty and staff achievement.
On hand for the check presentation were Cookie Hays, Steve Coulter, Debbie Smith and Rich Meyer from the WHS 50th Reunion Committee; Susan Harms, Joyce Jones and Amy Oesterly from SWINGS; and Bri James, Jillian Huellinghoff, Matthew Freitag, Nora Danz and Maddy Grimes from the Junior WINGS Board.
