Casey Campbell Blue Jay Pride AwardCasey Campbell, reading specialist teacher at Campbellton Elementary, is the November recipient of the Blue Jay Pride Award.

The Blue Jay Pride Award was introduced to recognize and showcase quality SDOW staff and the focus on the District’s core beliefs. Through peer nomination, individuals are able to acknowledge exceptional staff who positively impact the schools, district and community.

The individual who is recognized each month will be presented with a traveling plaque and gift card.

Campbell’s nomination form states the following:

“Casey goes above and beyond each day to share her knowledge not only of reading, but also of the new MTSS process. When she returns from an informational meeting, she always checks with me to make sure we understood the same thing or if I am not at the meeting to catch me up. She is always looking for new ways to help our students grow and learn, and then sharing her expertise with anyone willing to learn something new. She is the first one to jump in and help when help is needed in any capacity in the building. She always has a positive attitude, even when times are trying. Most recently she gave up her time to assist in getting the FastBridge Parent reports printed and organized to send out to parents. The list of her positive and kind actions goes on and on. We are so lucky to have her as a part of our staff.”

Campbell was presented the traveling plaque by Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Kephart and Campbellton Elementary Principal Jennifer Meyer. John Freitag of First State Community Bank presented Campbell with a gift card to Fastrip.
