Washington High School basketball player Mark Hensley is the KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week.
Hensley, a 6-4 senior forward, entered the week averaging 19 points and 12 rebounds per game for the Blue Jays, including a 27-point effort in a 60-56 win over Ft. Zumwalt North in the third-place game of the Borgia Thanksgiving Tournament.
Hensley joined teammate Adyn Kleinheider on the all-tournament team.
“Mark has been our inside presence for two seasons,” said Washington Head Basketball Coach Grant Young. “He not only anchors our offense, but also is a force defensively.”
Hensley has committed to playing football at Northern Illinois University.
