Washington High School wrestler Kristin Sprung is the Washington Missourian Athlete of the Week, sponsored by First State Community Bank.
Sprung, a sophomore, went 4-0 on her way to securing the 145-pound title at the Raytown South Holiday Tournament. She pinned her way to the finals, where she won a one-point decision for her first varsity tournament championship.
The Lady Jays claimed the team title at Raytown South.
