Laubinger, Kresse Place First at Washington Middle School Spelling Bee

WMS Spelling BeeWashington Middle School held its spelling bee on Thursday, January 19.

Language Arts teacher Karen Bruning served as coordinator of the spelling bee, with the help of Library Media Specialist Valerie Jankowski.

The final online spelling bee consisted of 28 students who won their classroom level spelling bell, which qualified them for the final.

Jade Kresse was the seventh-grade winner of the spelling bee. Jackson Laubinger was the winner of the eighth-grade spelling bee. Both Kresse and Laubinger spelled 23 of 25 words correctly.

Zach Sloan, Jude Johnson, Ryan Carr, Trenton Hailey, Paula Marquez Diaz, Leigha Tooley, Leila Jerry, Clara Frame, Jade Kresse, Colter Stone, Henry Schenk, Amelie Herman, Emerson Huse, Cayden Garrett, Evelynn Reina, Ada Abeyta-Gillam, Sophie Sheahan, Olivia Edsel, Addison Short, Harper Brown, Ash Fischer, Adrianna Hotra, Eli Appell, Miles Cochran, Greysen Gary, Colton Burns, Jackson Laubinger and Delia Virgen.
