Doctor Speaks With WMS StudentsStefanie Virgen’s Gifted classes at Washington Middle School had a guest speaker via Zoom on Friday, December 11.

Dr. Marissa Stock with Mercy Hospital in Washington shared information to the students, who are working on Epidemiology and Virology this quarter.

Dr. Stock shared PPE items with Virgen to display for the students, and spoke about types of vaccines, the importance of masking, and fielded questions from the students about public health in our community.

The purpose of the Zoom visit was to help boost community partnership.

Dr. Stock graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine in 2002. She specializes in Internal Medicine/Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
