Blue Jays Win Home Football Finale

Washington FootballWashington ended the home portion of its varsity football season in style with a convincing 46-28 victory over Francis Howell North on Friday, Oct. 19.

The Blue Jays controlled the entire game, leading 30-8 at halftime.

Quarterback Bryce Kazmaier ran for a touchdown and also had a TD pass to Nate Busch in the first half. Also scoring touchdowns in the first half were Cory Hardesty and Johnny Duncan.

Christian Meyer and Houston Partridge found the end zone in the second half.

Washington (3-6) is seeded sixth in Class 4 District 5 and visits third-seeded Rolla (6-3) in the opening round Friday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m.

Camdenton (8-1) is the top seed followed by Borgia (8-1), Rolla (6-3), Union (7-2), Helias (3-6), Washington (3-6), Sullivan (3-6) and Pacific (1-8).
