School District of Washington Workforce Connections Team Visits Trilogy, Mercy

Workforce Connections The School District of Washington’s Workforce Connections team took part in industry tours with local business partners on Wednesday, June 22.

A total of 15 members of the Workforce Connections team took part on June 22.

Workforce Connects was created to ensure each student has an opportunity to explore their work force passions and interests through experiences in the business community prior to graduating from Washington High School, while connecting careers and essential skills throughout the K-12 classrooms.

The morning visit was with Trilogy Analytical Laboratory in Washington.

Following lunch at the Board of Education building, the Workforce Connections team visited Mercy Hospital in Washington.

At both Trilogy and Mercy, the Workforce Connections team took part in a business overview and a tour from representatives of each company followed by a Workforce pitch and feedback session.

The Workforce Connections team continued their industry tours on Wednesday, June 29, with visits to Melton Machine and Tooling Tech Group (formerly GH Tool & Mold).
