Curt Beers, Information Technology instructor at Four Rivers Career Center, has been accepted for a CTE Teacher seat on the CompTIA National CTE Advisory Council representing the state of Missouri.
Beers and his fellow council members will collaborate using best practices to design and promote strategies to diversify the tech workforce, shape the future of CTE tech curriculum, raise national awareness of CTE as a creator of opportunities for careers that will provide a better way of life for multiple generations to come and to do so in a way that addresses digital inequity head-on.
Areas of focus may include professional development for teachers, funding sources, articulation agreements, service advisory boards, work based-study programs, job markets and much more.
Beers has been with the Four Rivers Career Center for 13 years as an Information Technology instructor.
