Washington High School Softball Recognized by County Commission, Board of Education

WHS Softball Commission, School BoardThe Washington High School Class 4 State Champion softball team was recognized by both the Franklin County Commission and the School District of Washington’s Board of Education on Tuesday and Wednesday, November 16 and 17, respectively.

Franklin County Presiding Commissioner Tim Brinker presented the players with a resolution on behalf of the County Commission during their meeting for winning the state championship.

On the next day, the SDOW’s Board of Education recognized the team for their state title during their monthly meeting.

The Board of Education also recognized WHS cross country runner Julia Donnelly for her Class 4 fourth-place finish at the MSHSAA Cross Country Championships.

Each student recognized received a gift bag and a certificate of excellence from the Board of Education.
