Augusta Elementary Kindergarten Celebration, Sixth-Grade Program

Augusta Kindergarten, Sixth-Grade ProgramAugusta Elementary held its Kindergarten Celebration and Sixth-Grade Program on Thursday evening, May 19.

The kindergarten students took part in musical kindergarten rhymes and received certificates for completing kindergarten from Augusta Elementary Principal Dr. Mary Robertson and kindergarten teacher Amy Brinkmann.

Sixth-grade students in Abby Boehlein’s classroom received certificates for completing elementary school and also gave a musical performance. President’s Awards also were handed out.

DVD presentations of kindergarten and sixth-grade students were shown.

Tom Whelan and Sally Heining were on hand to present Augusta History Museum Awards to sixth-grade students. They also presented Robertson with the “Don’t Let The Flame Go Out” Legacy Award.

The award, in part, states that Dr. Robertson has used her leadership excellence, vision and enthusiasm to positively engage students in their local history museum.

A large crowd of family members and friends watched the program in the Augusta Elementary gymnasium.

Robertson Legacy Award
Augusta Elementary Principal Dr. Mary Robertson was presented the “Don’t Let The Flame Go Out” Legacy Award for using her leadership excellence, vision and enthusiasm to positively engage students in their local history museum. Also pictured are Tom Whelan and Sally Heining to present the award on behalf of the Augusta History Museum.
