Washington High School Alumni Reunion Supports WINGS, NJROTC, Folds of Honor
The Washington High School Class of 1975 hosted the annual Alumni Reunion in May, bringing together classmates and community members for an evening of connection, celebration, and giving back.
As has become tradition, a portion of the proceeds from the event was donated to WINGS, the School District of Washington’s foundation supporting students and educators through grants and scholarships.
This year’s reunion also included two additional charitable contributions. A donation was presented to Folds of Honor, a nonprofit organization that provides educational scholarships to the spouses and children of America’s fallen or disabled military service members and first responders. Representing Folds of Honor was Rocky Sickmann, WHS Class of 1976, who played a special role in the evening’s program.
Another donation was given to the WHS NJROTC program, represented by instructor Senior Chief Nathan Hernandez. In a moving tribute, NJROTC cadets presented the colors during the reunion and honored veterans in attendance by presenting them with commemorative challenge coins supplied by Sickmann and Folds of Honor.
