Special education services are provided to eligible students ages 3 through 21 under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) in accordance with federal, state and local regulations. Services to eligible students are designed by a multidisciplinary team of individuals including parents, teachers, administrators and related service providers when appropriate. Eligible students receive specially-designed, direct services in order to progress toward annual short and long term, educationally relevant goals designed by the individual education plan (IEP) team. Progress is reviewed at least annually and eligibility for services is reviewed at least every three years.
