Washington High School softball player Macy Wieland is the Washington Missourian Athlete of the Week.

Wieland, a junior shortstop and catcher, hit three home runs, including a grand slam against Blair Oaks, in the Sullivan Back to School Classic.

So far this season, Wieland leads the team with 13 RBIs through eight games with a batting average of .368, an one-base percentage of .500 and an OPS (on-base percentage plus slugging percentage) of 1.395.

Wieland also was named to the Sullivan All-Tournament team.
