Washington High School Teacher Clint Schneider Receives Blue Jay Pride Award

Clint Schneider, Washington High School teacher, is the October recipient of the Blue Jay Pride Award.
The Blue Jay Pride Award was introduced to recognize and showcase quality School District of Washington staff and the focus on the District’s core beliefs. Through peer nomination, individuals are able to acknowledge exceptional staff who positively impact the schools, district and community.
The individual who is recognized each month will be presented with a traveling plaque and a gift bag.
Schneider is a Washington High School graduate and has taught at WHS for the past 16 years. He serves as chair of the social studies department and teaches sociology, psychology and AP Psychology.
Schneider’s nomination stated the following:
“Educators teach their curriculum, but Clint also teaches by example. Having worked alongside him across various roles over the years, I have seen firsthand how his unwavering consistency and quiet strength make him a steady guide in any environment. He holds himself and those around him to the highest standards, setting a benchmark for excellence that elevates our entire community. What truly sets Clint apart is a rare blend of deep professionalism and moral integrity. He approaches education not just as a job, but as a calling - the kind of teacher every parent hopes their children will be fortunate enough to have. His character, however, extends far beyond the classroom walls. Clint recently demonstrated the true depth of his selfless nature when he rushed into a burning house to rescue his neighbor. That instinct to protect and serve others, without hesitation, even in the face of grave danger, reveals who he is at his core. Clint is a leader, a hero, and a genuinely one-of-a-kind educator who deserves our deepest gratitude and highest recognition. I am honored to serve the School District of Washington alongside Clint.”
Schneider was presented the Blue Jay Pride Award traveling plaque and a SDOW lapel pin from Superintendent Dr. Cassandra Suggs. He also received a gift box from the Bank of Franklin County.
