Jenna Faust Named South Central District Middle School Student Council Advisor of the Year

Washington Middle School Student Council Advisor Jenna Faust has been named the Student Council Advisor of the Year for the South Central District.

The Missouri Association of Student Councils committee choose two student council advisors in the South Central Region for the award, one on the high school level and one on the middle school level.

Nominations for the South Central Student Council Advisor of the Year were accepted from students, staff, and administrators. This recognition is a reflection of the hard work, dedication, and passion that advisors strive to bring to supporting student council members.

WMS student council members nominated Faust for the award. The nomination stated the following:

“I think Mrs. Faust should be advisor of the year because she is a really good Student Council advisor. She always makes everyone feel welcome and heard and she makes sure that everyone’s ideas get a chance. She is always there to help us when we need it and she makes Student Council fun. Mrs. Faust also lets us have a say in what we do and doesn’t just make all the decisions for us. She cares about our school and wants us to make it a better place. She is also very kind. She is a really good leader and I think she deserves to be advisor of the year because she makes everyone feel like they are a part of Student Council.”

Faust teaches math at Washington Middle School. This is her second year as student council advisor.

Faust will be recognized at the Missouri Association of Student Councils State Convention in March and is eligible for the Missouri Student Council Advisor of the Year.
