Washington High School softball player Madisen Meyer is the Washington Missourian Athlete of the Week.

Meyer, a junior, is a returning Class 4 all-state catcher who has provided the Lady Jays with power at the plate. She has a batting average of .494 (39 hits in 79 official at-bats) with a .646 slugging percentage, a .560 on-base percentage and an OPS of 1.200. She leads the team with 12 doubles and is second in RBIs with 26. She’s also played solid behind the plate as the team’s catcher, making her one of the St. Louis area’s few left-handed catchers.
