Volleyball Lady Jays Having Breakthrough Season
Playing against one of the top teams in the St. Louis area, the Washington High School varsity volleyball Lady Jays dropped a home match to North Point on Tuesday, October 7.
The Lady Jays were competitive in all three games against North Point (26-3), but fell short in all three.
It’s been quite a turn around season for the Washington volleyball squad. The Lady Jays, coached by Olivia Strode, take an overall record of 17-11-1 into Thursday’s match against Ft. Zumwalt South. They notched a second-place finish last weekend at the Rolla Tournament, losing to Logan-Rogersville (20-3-1) in the championship contest.
