Washington High School Powder Puff Football Game
As part of Homecoming festivities, the annual Washington High School powder puff football game between the senior and junior girls took place at Scanlan Stadium on Wednesday, October 8.
The players dressed in pink and blue jerseys and had an enjoyable time playing in the flag football contest.
Some of the WHS male athletes served as the coaches. Two 20-minute halves were played. WHS teachers Clint Schneider and Rob Biesendorfer were the referees.
In a dramatic ending to the game, the juniors scored on a long touchdown run by Lilly Thornton on the final play to defeat the seniors, 12-6.
