Modified Days Thursday-Friday, December 18-19; Winter Break Begins Monday, December 22
Winter break for the School District of Washington begins on Monday, December 22, and runs through Friday, January 2. Staff returns for a professional development day (no students) on Monday, January 5. Students return to school on Tuesday, January 6.
Leading up to the winter break, there will be modified days for students on Thursday and Friday, December 18 and 19. Dismissal times on modified days are as follows:
Elementary
Students will be dismissed at 11:50 a.m.; a sack lunch will be available.
Middle School
Students will be dismissed at 12:30 p.m.; a sack lunch will be available.
High School
Students will be dismissed at 12:25 p.m.; a sack lunch will be available.
Four Rivers Career Center
Tuesday, December 16: Morning students will follow the normal schedule. Washington High School afternoon students will be released at 1:10 p.m. and return to the high school. Sending afternoon students will be dismissed at 2:15 p.m.
Wednesday, December 17: Normal schedule.
Thursday, December 18: Afternoon Washington High School students will attend in the morning and be dismissed at 11 a.m. Morning sending school students will attend FRCC at the normal time (8:25-11 a.m.). Morning Washington High School students will not attend FRCC and will attend the high school. There will be no classes in the afternoon.
Friday, December 19: Morning students will attend and follow their normal schedule with an 11 a.m. dismissal. Afternoon students will not attend. There will be no classes in the afternoon.
Early Learning Center
Dismiss at 11 a.m. on both Thursday, December 18, and Friday, December 19. Early childhood special education families and part-time students will receive additional communication about these days. Please watch your child’s backpack for the information.
