Washington High School Baseball Player Henry Vedder Named Washington Missourian Athlete of the Week

Washington High School baseball player Henry Vedder is the Washington Missourian Athlete of the Week.
Vedder, a senior pitcher, threw a complete game shutout in the first round of district action against Parkway Central, allowing two hits and one walk while registering 12 strikeouts. He also had a 21-game hitting streak during the season.
Vedder finished the season with a 4-2 record and a 1.67 earned-run average. In 50.3 innings pitched, he allowed 25 runs, 12 earned, on 28 hits with 19 walks and 83 strikeouts. At the plate, he had a batting average of .385 with two home runs, 30 RBIs, an on-base percentage of .449 and a slugging percentage of .583.
