Sixth-grade and special education students at Augusta Elementary made scarecrows for the Augusta Harvest Festival Scarecrow Contest.
Businesses and residents throughout Augusta are displaying their scarecrows outside on their property to be judged by members of the Augusta Harvest Festival committee.
Winners will be announced on Saturday, September 18, at the Augusta Harvest Festival.
Sixth-grade students at Augusta made the scarecrows. Special education students helped with the display, which is located just outside the front doors of Augusta Elementary.
Participants must provide their own material for creating their scarecrow.
