Washington Wrestling Hosts 'Scrappin at Scanlan' Outdoor Meet

Washington High School wrestling hosted its annual outdoor varsity boys and girls meet at Jim Scanlan Stadium on the WHS campus on Friday, November 24. The event is called, “Scrappin at Scanlan Stadium.”

Washington competed against St. Clair on both the boys and girls side. A nice size crowd was on hand for the third annual event.

WHS Wrestling Coach Josh Ohm designated School District of Washington Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Kephart and her son Murphy as the honorary coaches for the meet for the third year in a row. They sat on Washington’s bench next to Ohm for the entire event.

Washington and St. Clair split the dual meets. The Blue Jays defeated St. Clair in the boys meet, 52-9. St. Clair won the girls meet, 30-18.
