Selected were Marthasville Elementary fifth-grade students Amelia Timpe and Gabe Schmelz and Augusta Elementary sixth-grade student Josie Bina.

Students submitted an audition via audio recording and were selected based on three screeners for each voice part, and all auditions were screened blind (by audition number only).

Hundreds of singers from Missouri, Texas, Kansas, Colorado, Arkansas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma auditioned with approximately 95 being selected.

The selected students will travel to Denver, Colorado, on February 28 - March 2 to rehearse and perform with well-renowned conductor and teacher Mary Biddlecombe.

“This is a huge deal and such an honor to be selected for such a prestigious event,” said Augusta and Marthasville Elementary Choir Teacher Jon Logan. “This will be a life changing experience for our students. This is the third year in a row our students have auditioned and have been selected for a regional or national honor choir.”
